Victoria Cross Project

 THE VICTORIA CROSS PROJECT:

The Victoria Cross Recipient Project has been lovingly put together by artist Joe Zapp. He began work on this collection in 2013 and will provide both a portrait of the recipient and the action for which they were awarded a Victoria Cross. Besides acknowledging our nations highest bravery award, this project aims to give all Australians the opportunity to honour the service and sacrifice of all those who have worn our nation’s uniform, including the more than 102,000 who have made the supreme sacrifice.

MEN OF VALOR:

Men Of Valour is the name Joe Zapp will be presenting this first of it’s kind artistic experience which is designed to be more than just a touring collection of portraiture works. In a time when we are remembering the Anzac Centenary, a 100 year milestone which is of special significance to all Australians this project will help to encourage our nation to reflect upon and learn more of Australia’s Military history, its costs and its impacts on our nation.

Men Of Valour will provide educational insight into the story of each of the featured VC recipients, presented as both an exhibition and interactive live show. It will also offer the opportunity for each participating RSL to honour one of it’s own local hero’s. To find out more about this Interactive Show & Exhibit and how this could be part of your RSL history head to Men Of Valour to find out more..
